Golf is a popular sport amongst our pupils - our school has many golf clubs in the locality and many boys are members of the Hermitage, Westmanstown, Lucan Golf Club or Castleknock. St. Mary’s entered the Castle Schools’ Cup, a golf competition for primary schools held annually in Castle GC, for the first time in 2019. Our team of Senan Bolger, Conor Dillon, Luke Mooney and Enda Walsh won the team competition, while Enda also won the individual prize. The competition resumed in 2022 and our team of James Dillon, Johnny Donovan, Aaron Donohue and Colm Murphy retained the title! We are very proud of the achievements of the boys who have shown amazing skill and ability in representing the school so well. We have also held outings to Liffey Valley Par 3 course which serve as a qualifier for the school team, as well as being a great opportunity for a larger group of boys to enjoy a round of golf at school.
