Free Nasal Flu Vaccine – Remaining classes will be vaccinated on Wednesday 9th October.

Lombard Pharmacy vaccinated the majority of classes yesterday. However, they will return on Wednesday 9th October to vaccinate boys who consented from the following classes:

  • 4th Class Ms. Murray
  • 5th Class Mr. Keegan
  • 5th Class Ms. Joyce
  • 6th Class Mr. Clandillon
  • 6th Class Mr. Shanahan
  • 6th Class Ms. Hennessy

Any boys from younger the classes who were absent yesterday but had consent.

Due to a technical glitch in the vaccination booking system, most parents will have received an appointment cancellation email. Please be assured that if you have an outstanding appointment, it has not been cancelled, and your booking still stands. Any outstanding vaccination bookings from yesterday will be completed on Wednesday 9th October in our school hall. Lombard Pharmacy apologises for any confusion caused.

Parents can still book the vaccination on the original link if you wish to do so. Please contact the school office if you have any issue.

Electric Cables to go underground in Lucan Village

Over the coming weeks, work begins on four enhancement projects in Lucan Village, kicking off a 12 month construction programme. The projects include putting electric cables underground, a new car park and improvements to the entrance of Lucan Demesne, alongside upgrades to the Village Green and Liffey Promenade. South Dublin County Council has recently completed the acquisition of Lucan House, with repair works on the boundary wall set to start next month and expected to take four months. This may cause traffic restrictions so families may have to leave earlier in the morning to get to school on time.

Gaelic Football

Hard luck to our Junior football teams who put up a good fight against St. Mary’s Rathfarnham on Tuesday. Best of luck to our senior A and senior B teams who play in Lucan Sarsfields this afternoon.

Thanks to Mr. Shanahan, Mr. Walsh , Ms. Ryan and Mr. O’Brien for training our football teams at lunch break and for organising their fixtures.

Le dea-ghuí,

Dara Burke, Principal.
