Junior Infant Enrolment for September 2023
Please remember that the closing date for applications for Junior Infants for September 2023 is Friday 18th November at 3pm. The enrolment form can be downloaded from our school website. All relevant information relating to admissions can be found on the Annual Admission Notice located on our school website.
Bob-a-Job
Our Bob-a-Job sponsorship card was attached to the Thursday letter last week. We hope that the boys will receive up to €1 for every job that they complete at home such as washing the dishes, bringing the dog for a walk, hoovering the house, washing the car, etc. The boys will note the completion of their chore on their card. We encourage parents to email photos of the boys as they work on their jobs. As a reward for their efforts the boys will have a full day of fun, sport and activity in June. The closing date for all cards and money will be Tuesday 25th October. Some boys are busy already and we received some photos by email during the week and they have now been uploaded on our Facebook page so please keep those photos coming.
Jamie Donnelly (Ms. Donovan’s 3rd class) and Daire Coleman (Ms. Staunton’s 2nd class) are two great men to have around the house during the Autumn season as they gather all the leaves. Conor Coleman (Mr. Lynch’s 4th class), Rian Donnelly (Ms. Friel’s Junior Infants), Tom Murray (Ms. Clarke’s 3rd class) and Sam Collins (Ms. Walsh’s 2nd class) have certainly mastered the art of hoovering any room in the house and they will leave your carpet spotless and once the bins are full then Jack Collins (Mr. Lynch’s 4th class) is your only man to leave the bin out on time for collection. Cian Murray (Ms. Ryan’s 1st class) Michael Murray (Ms. Copley’s 1st class) are a great team in the kitchen with Cian making the dinner and Michael cleaning up afterwards.
Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found is growing by the day. We now have four large black bags of clothes that are taking up valuable space. One of our SNAs, Catherine Kelly, has kindly agreed to put the clothes on the wall near the school gate on Monday (weather permitting). The Parents’ Association have agreed to hold a used uniform sale at some stage before Friday 21st October. All remaining clothes will be given to St. Vincent de Paul or the clothes bank on Friday 21st October.
