Dear Parents,
Voluntary Contribution and Pupil Insurance 23/24
The Parents Association is requesting payment for Pupil Personal Accident Insurance and Voluntary Contribution, please see the letter attached. Insurance payments (€9) should be made per child and the Voluntary Contribution (€30) payment made per family. We would encourage all parents to ensure payment of insurance for their child/children for this school year. An Aladdin payment request will be sent to all parents.
Cultural Awareness
Ms. Murray carried out an international survey of all the boys recently and we have 29 different nationalities in our school. We plan to celebrate these cultures and languages in the coming weeks and months through various projects and initiatives. I will invite boys from one different country to my office each Friday to speak their language on the school intercom. This week we welcome some boys from Pakistan to speak some of their language. There are dozens of different languages in Pakistan so we look forward to hearing some Urdu and Pashto. Next week we will invite some boys from India.
Reminder - Tea and Coffee morning for Junior Infant Parents tomorrow at 9.10am
Parents of the junior infant boys are invited to a tea & coffee morning in the school hall at 9.10 am on Friday 15th September. The coffee morning is hosted by the Parents’ Association (PA). This event will provide parents with an informal opportunity to meet and have a chat with other parents of junior infants and maybe set up a class WhatsApp group. The PA is always looking for new committee members so please have a chat with some of the members there on the day.

Best of luck to our Senior footballers who play St. Mary’s Rathfarnam today. Thanks to Mr. Clandillon, Mr. Keegan, Ms. Ryan, Mr. Walsh, Mr. McHugh and Mr. Shannon for giving up their time to train the teams and organise the matches.

There are still some free places for our Keyboard classes. They plan to start on Monday 18th September in room 1. Please read the attached leaflet for more information.
