Maths Week

Well done to Ms. Keane’s 4th class who hosted a very impressive Maths Exhibition for Maths Week last week. Nine classes (285 boys) visited the exhibition and there was very positive feedback from students and teachers. All classes in the school marked Maths Week in some way.

Garda talk to 5th and 6th class about fireworks and dealing with strangers

Many thanks to the local Community Gardaí who visited our school yesterday to talk to the boys about staying safe over the Halloween. They highlighted the danger of fireworks and to report and strangers on the school grounds to school staff.

Ms. O’Malley’s 6th class – Trick or Treat for Temple Street

Ms. O’Malley’s 6th class are organising a Halloween Party tomorrow for Junior and Senior Infants. We aim to raise money for the sick children in Temple Street Hospital and highlight the awareness of the fact that not all children can celebrate Halloween. The 6th class boys are really looking forward to hosting a great party and raising much needed funds.

Fancy Dress on Friday 26th October

All boys are asked to wear their tracksuits under their costumes.

Gaelic Football

Hard luck to our Senior A football team who were beaten by Belgrove in the Cumann na mBunscol Division 1 Final on Tuesday. It has been another fantastic season for all our Gaelic Football teams. Qualifying for the Division 1 finals for two years in a row is a great achievement. Many thanks to Joanne Munnelly from PressXpress for washing the jerseys and getting them match ready. We are also very grateful to Paul Bolger for printing the match programmes which were designed by Mr. Clandillon. Thanks to Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Dineen, Ms. Copley and Mr. Shanahan for all their work preparing the teams.

Le dea-ghuí,

Dara Burke, Principal
